Sharon Smith-Carter Somatics & Movement is a well-established yoga studio and wellness program located in Lindsay, Ontario. Led by the experienced somatic educator and yoga teacher, Sharon Smith-Carter, the studio has been a pillar in the community since 1999. Sharon's focus on mindful practices and therapeutic movement has helped countless individuals on their path to health and wellbeing.
Having opened the first dedicated yoga studio in Lindsay, Sharon has been a pioneer in introducing somatic education and movement practices to the area. Her dedication to ongoing learning and growth is evident in her certifications as a Clinical Somatic Educator, Movement Teacher (ISMETA), and yoga educator/instructor (E-RYT500). Through her studies with Martha Peterson and Essential Somatics, Sharon has honed her skills in helping clients rewire patterns of movement to reduce pain and increase ease in their daily lives.
Beyond her work at the studio, Sharon is actively involved in the community, serving as a facilitator for the Mind-Body Mental Health program at the local hospital and providing outreach for organizations with a focus on mental health. She is also part of the team for Essential Somatics Movement Training, further contributing to the health and wellness of those around her.
