Shambhala Health & Healing is a well-established Yoga studio and Massage therapist located in Venus Bay, Victoria. Owned by Carolyn Clarke, who has been working as a Remedial & Relaxation Massage Therapist since 1995, Shambhala Health & Healing has been serving the Venus Bay community since 2003.
Carolyn obtained her qualifications at the Eastern School of Tactile Therapies and gained extensive experience working in massage clinics, healing centres, health spas, and private practise in Melbourne before moving to Venus Bay. She also works in other clinics in Leongatha and Fish Creek, collaborating with other Remedial Massage Therapists, Chiropractors, and Physiotherapists.
In addition to her massage therapy expertise, Carolyn is also passionate about yoga. She began practising yoga in 1992 and achieved her first Yoga Teaching qualification in 2004 at Yoga Arts in Byron Bay. Over the years, she has learned from various teachers and travelled to India, Bali, and northern NSW for extensive studies with Ashtanga teachers. Carolyn teaches both Hatha & Ashtanga style yoga and has been running classes in Venus Bay & Fish Creek for many years.
As a massage therapist, Carolyn offers a range of treatments including Remedial, Relaxation, and Deep Tissue Massage. Relaxation Massage is ideal for reducing stress and anxiety, relieving muscle soreness, and improving overall well-being. Remedial Massage is a more specific style that targets particular issues such as neck pain, headaches, and back pain. It aims to reduce pain, improve flexibility, and increase joint range of motion.
Deep Tissue Massage combines the techniques of Relaxation Massage with deeper pressure to target specific problem areas while still providing the benefits of relaxation.
Shambhala Health & Healing is available for appointments on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays by appointment only. It also offers massage services on Sundays and Mondays during public holiday long weekends. Carolyn is registered with all health funds and provides pregnancy massage with the use of a specialised cushion. Gift vouchers are also available.
