With over 18 years of experience, Donald has helped numerous individuals enhance their physical and mental well-being through the power of yoga and meditation.

Donald Shakes is a passionate yoga instructor and the heart and soul of Shakes Yoga. His journey into yoga began in 2003 when he discovered Transcendental Meditation. This sparked his curiosity in holistic wellness, leading him to explore various modalities like Reiki and Tibetan singing bowl healing. Donald's exploration of different yoga styles, including Bikram, Hatha, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Restorative, and Yin Yoga, eventually led him to discover his true calling in Power Vinyasa Yoga.
Throughout his yoga journey, Donald has accumulated an impressive 3000+ hours of teacher training courses, assisting teacher training modules, alignment workshops, and anatomy courses. This extensive knowledge and experience have given Donald a deep understanding of the human body and the transformative power of yoga, meditation, and Tibetan Singing Bowls.
In 2009, Donald founded Shakes Yoga with the goal of empowering others through their bodies and these ancient practises. His unique approach, combined with his life experiences, has made him a highly sought-after instructor who can help students tap into their inner strength, find balance, and unlock their full potential.
