If you prefer a less traditional approach to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, our No-Gi classes may be perfect for you. NoGi classes replace the traditional uniform with shorts and a rash guard and teach alternative moves that allow for a more well-rounded BJJ practitioner. Silvano Souza Chaves, our dedicated coach at SD Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, is a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu purple belt under Professor Thiago Stefanutti. With a passion for BJJ that developed from his early love for martial arts, Silvano has competed in multiple competitions throughout his career, including Grappling Industries, the Australian National Championships, and the Victorian State Championships. He has achieved gold medals in the Melbourne Open and the Pan-Pacific Championships. As a coach, Silvano aims to be a positive influence in the local community, encouraging others to always strive for their best, lead healthy lifestyles, and approach challenges with an optimistic attitude.

SD Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is located at Factory 4, 1-5 Purton Rd in Pakenham, with convenient access for those in Pakenham and surrounding suburbs including Berwick, Beaconsfield, Officer, and Nar Nar Goon.
