Mandy, our organiser, would love to share a little note with you all about Scalloway Pool.
Scalloway Pool, nestled in the charming village of Scalloway in Shetland, has been a favourite spot for locals and visitors since its doors first opened on 4th April 1993. With a community of about 1000, it's a place where everyone can dive into a refreshing swim, whether they're from near or far. 🌊
The pool features a four-lane, 16.7m main pool, perfect for laps and water activities. For the little ones, there's a shallow lagoon designed just for toddlers. And for those wanting to unwind, the whirlpool and steam room are just the ticket.
There's also a spectator gallery, where visitors can relax with a fresh cup of coffee and watch the swimmers in action. Mandy and the pool team make it their mission to create a friendly and laid-back vibe, making it a great place for families to build confidence in the water and have fun.
Scalloway Pool also offers structured swimming lessons, which are a big hit with all ages. Whether you're under 5 or over 50, there's something for everyone to enjoy here.
