Red Roos, the local Orienteering club in Canberra, is thrilled to present SC-ORE, an exhilarating Orienteering Team Based Challenge specifically designed for Primary School Aged Children.
The aim of this event is to engage children in Years 3 to 6 and provide them with an unforgettable orienteering experience. We encourage teams of 4 children to participate, with an equal mix of two boys and two girls from the same school, if possible.
Held twice a year, the Autumn series kicks off in March, while the Spring series takes place in October. This ensures that there are ample opportunities throughout the year for young orienteers to showcase their skills and have a blast.
The challenge unfolds over four Thursday mornings, just before school starts. The excitement begins with a briefing at am am on the first week, followed by a mass start. It's a fantastic way for children to start their day off on an exhilarating note and get their adrenaline pumping.
To participate in this thrilling event, there is a nominal registration fee of $28 for the entire 4-week series. It's a small price to pay for the memories and experiences that await. Don't miss out on this opportunity to unleash your orienteering talents and have an absolute blast with like-minded youngsters.
