Welcome to Salsa Silhouette, the top dance school for Salsa in Penrith, Cumbria. Led by the talented and UK Accredited teacher Amanda, Salsa Silhouette offers a fun and enjoyable way to learn and dance Salsa while exercising, reducing stress, and socialising in the Latin Fever way.
At Salsa Silhouette, all classes are run on a 'drop in' basis, meaning you can start at any time. You are welcome to join with or without a partner, as the school rotates partners during classes. The relaxed atmosphere allows for a comfortable learning environment. The classes focus on teaching the New York crossbody style salsa, starting from beginner level and progressing to improver/intermediate level.
Salsa Silhouette's teaching approach also includes leading and following techniques, ensuring that students gain the fundamental building blocks to dance any style of salsa around the world. In addition to regular classes, Salsa Silhouette also organises Party Nights throughout the year, providing a great opportunity to practise and showcase your salsa skills.
Amanda, the lead instructor at Salsa Silhouette, brings her six years of salsa dancing experience to the school. She is a fully qualified UKA Accredited Teacher and continuously trains and attends workshops across the country to stay updated with new ideas, music, and teaching techniques. Amanda is also training to become a Latin American dance teacher, further enhancing her teaching methods by incorporating ladies' styling with good lead and following techniques.
Amanda's lessons focus on providing quality teaching to beginners, as well as to those at the improver/intermediate level, with the primary goals of having fun, socialising, and reducing stress while keeping fit.
Amanda's achievements and credentials showcase her dedication and expertise in the salsa dance community. She has recently passed her Associate Latin Dancing Exam, allowing her to teach the five Latin dances (Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Cha Cha, and Jive). Amanda was also one of the judges at the North West Salsa Championships.
Salsa Silhouette classes take place every Tuesday at Penrith Conservative Club in Crown Square, Penrith, with Beginners' classes from 7:30pm to 8:15pm, Improvers' classes from 8:30pm to 9:15pm, and a social practise dance following the classes until 11pm. On Wednesdays, classes are held at Kendal Golf Club in High Tenterfell, Kendal.
