Are you the owner of Sailability Wellington Trust at Seaview?

Since establishing its base, Sailability Wellington has provided a safe and accessible way for people with disabilities to learn and enjoy sailing. In 2003, they expanded to Seaview Marina and Titahi Bay Boating Club in Onepoto, reaching more individuals across the Wellington region and opening up more sailing opportunities.
By 2007, Sailability Wellington had become the largest sailing programme for people with disabilities in New Zealand, showcasing their commitment to inclusivity. With the introduction of Hansa yachts in 2010, specially designed for those with disabilities, Sailability Wellington now has a fleet of 27 yachts to accommodate sailors of all ages and abilities.
A major milestone came in 2023 with the launch of the 'ParAble-Whakatauki' class sailboats, specifically designed for people with disabilities. Sailability Wellington is excited to host a regatta with these new boats, highlighting the skills and achievements of their sailors.
Supported by a dedicated team of experienced volunteers, Sailability Wellington ensures the safety and enjoyment of all members. Whether it’s rigging boats or managing the dock, there are various roles for those eager to help make sailing inclusive and accessible.
The team is also grateful for the backing of sponsors, corporate partners, trusts, and funding bodies. Their support makes it possible for people with disabilities to experience the thrill and freedom of sailing.
If you or someone you know is interested in sailing, Sailability Wellington encourages you to reach out for an initial sail. It’s a great way to discover the joy and excitement that sailing can bring.
Join Sailability Wellington today and be part of a supportive, inclusive sailing community where lifelong connections, friendship, and adventure await.
