What activities and events do you offer?

We run regular summer season roll-ups, a variety of open events and our own championship events. Our social functions can include barbecues, pot luck dinners, quiz evenings and twilight bowls.

Where do you play and what facilities do you have?

We have two greens with views out past our Christmas tree site to Mt Ngongotaha. Club rooms are large and comfortable with great kitchen facilities, and the premises are used for both organisations and private groups.

How do I join or find event dates?

Rotorua East Bowling Club

Already proving to be a significant undertaking to maintain.

However, the members didn't let this setback discourage them. They got creative and saw an opportunity to generate revenue while beautifying the club grounds. In 1999, they established the Christmas tree plantation, which has become an iconic feature of the club. Every year, they open the plantation to the public, allowing families to come and choose their own Christmas tree.

Over the years, Rotorua East Bowling Club has grown and evolved, becoming a hub of sporting and social activity in Rotorua. The club boasts two well-maintained greens that offer stunning views of Mt Ngongotaha. Whether you're a seasoned bowler or a novice looking to try your hand at the sport, Rotorua East Bowling Club welcomes players of all skill levels.

In addition to the regular roll-ups and championship events, the club also hosts a variety of open tournaments to test the skills of players from across the region. But it's not all about the competition. The club is known for its vibrant social scene, with BBQs, potluck dinners, quiz evenings, and Twilight Bowls adding a fun and social element to the club's calendar.

The club rooms are spacious and comfortable, providing a great atmosphere for members and guests alike. The well-appointed kitchen facilities make catering for events a breeze. Not only do club members enjoy these facilities, but various organisations and private groups also hire the premises for their own events, taking advantage of the stunning view, well-stocked bar, and clean and attractive facilities.

The current committee members are dedicated to ensuring the smooth running of the club. The patron of the club is Doug Graeff, and Ripeka Batty serves as the president. Wayne Hall holds the position of vice-president, while the role of secretary is currently vacant. Wayne Parkinson takes care of the club's finances as the treasurer.
