Welcome to the Rossland Figure Skating Club, a non-profit society operated by a volunteer Board of Directors at the Rossland Arena. Our registration for the upcoming season starts on September 11, with the season running from October 3, 2023 to February 29, 2024. We pride ourselves on providing a safe and welcoming environment for skaters of all ages and levels.
Registration details can be found on our website, where you can register online for our programs. CanSkate and Juniors are required by Skate Canada to wear properly fitted skates and approved CSA helmets on the ice. No ski or bike helmets are permitted. All skaters must be registered prior to going on the ice, with an annual Skate Canada membership fee of $58.
65 required by all skaters.
Our club offers a range of programs, including Pre CanSkate, CanSkate up to level 4, Upper CanSkate level 5 & 6, and STAR 1-3 level. Each year, the club participates in fundraising opportunities to help keep ice costs and program expenses reasonable for all skaters. We are run by a team of dedicated volunteers and are always in need of more volunteers to ensure the club's success in future years.
In light of the Covid-19 safety procedures and guidelines, there are currently no restrictions at this time for our club. If you have any questions or require assistance with registration, please feel free to email us. We also host a yearly Year End Show to showcase the hard work and progress of our skaters.
The Rossland Figure Skating Club focuses on providing preliminary skating skills in CanSkate, which is valuable for those interested in hockey, figure skating, or speed skating. We are a Skate Canada Club and offer STARskate for more advanced skaters. Join us today and become a part of our skating community.
