At “Rockers Athletic Club”, we pride ourselves on being Edmonton's first female rugby club, founded in 1976. Our club is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for players of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned rugby player or new to the sport, we welcome you to join our club and share our love for rugby.
Our club offers a range of programs, including a dedicated Senior Women's team, developing U13-19 teams, and strong U5 to U11 co-ed programs. We believe in the development of both male and female rugby players in Edmonton, regardless of their previous experience. Rugby training takes place at Argyll Field in south-central Edmonton from April to September, and new members are welcome to join at any point during the season.
As a member of Rockers Athletic Club, you are expected to uphold our Code of Conduct, ensuring a positive and respectful environment for all club members. Our executive committee works tirelessly to keep Rockers Rugby alive, and we greatly appreciate the commitment of our volunteer executive members.
We are proud to celebrate the achievements of our players, including our very own Jen Kish, captain of the 2016 Olympic Bronze Medal-winning Canadian 7s team. Jen's contribution to putting rugby on the map is truly inspiring, and we are honoured to have her as part of our club.
If you're looking for a new challenge in 2024, consider joining Rockers Collections for a Cause, or participating in one of our social events at our clubhouse. Our club provides a fun, welcoming, and safe space for all members to develop their rugby skills, make new friends, and participate in community-driven initiatives.
For more information on joining Rockers Athletic Club or attending one of our training sessions, feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. We look forward to welcoming you to our club and sharing our passion for rugby with you.
