Rising Down Yoga is a serene and welcoming yoga studio located in Edmonton, Alberta, founded by the passionate and dedicated yoga teacher, April Dawn. With a belief that yoga is for every BODY, April offers a variety of styles and classes to suit all levels and body types.
April's journey as a yoga teacher began in 2011 when she completed her Hatha yoga training at Yoga Within in Edmonton. Since then, she has expanded her knowledge and skills, becoming a 500-hour certified teacher and currently working towards her 1000-hour certificate. April has also completed training in yin, Purna Yoga, yoga therapy, inversions, restorative yoga, anatomy, body mechanics, sustainable yoga, and specific asana workshops.
In April's classes, students can expect a nurturing and supportive environment where they can explore movement, build strength, increase flexibility, and find inner peace. April places a strong emphasis on alignment, breath, and mindful movement, helping students to develop a deeper awareness of their bodies and minds.
