Led by a team of highly qualified instructors, all Rikai Martial Art Academy instructors have a minimum of 5 years of experience teaching and working with students in a martial arts setting. Sensei Pansy Wright, a senior instructor with 30 years of experience in karate and 27 years in kickboxing, leads the team. With over 25 years of teaching martial arts, Sensei Pansy Wright brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the academy.
Rikai Martial Art Instructors specialise in teaching both karate and kickboxing, ensuring a well-rounded training experience for all students. They hold enhanced DBS certificates and are first aid qualified, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
The academy offers a variety of classes at different locations throughout Birmingham. These include the Rikai Erdington Karate Club, located at Erdington Methodist Church on Station Road, the Rikai Stockland Green Karate Club at Highcroft Community Centre on Slade Road, and the Rikai Cherry Orchard After School Karate Club. The academy also offers the Rikai St Georges Dragons After School Karate Club at St Georges COE Primary School, as well as Rikai Ladies and Kids Kickboxing at Acker Adventure on Golden Hillock Road.

The academy believes that by understanding oneself through the practise of karate and kickboxing, individuals can better understand those around them. The academy's operation hours are as follows: closed on Mondays, open from 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, open from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesdays and Fridays, open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm on Saturdays, and open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Sundays.
