Restore Balance Retreat is a serene and peaceful yoga retreat centre and self-catering accommodation located in Woodstock, New Zealand. It was established with the aim of restoring balance to society and providing individuals with the tools and education to discover their fullest potential.

At Restore Balance Retreat, you will find a fully equipped yoga studio where weekly yoga classes are conducted by Nicky McCormick, a trained Hatha yoga teacher. Nicky incorporates a strong alignment focus in her teaching, inspired by her experience with Iyengar yoga. She encourages students to go beyond their limits and experience the therapeutic benefits of yoga.

The classes include pranayama (yogic breathing) and meditation practises. Experienced practitioners are also welcome to join the classes and explore more advanced poses such as headstands and shoulder stands, with permission from the instructor.

Restore Balance Retreat offers comfortable and self-contained accommodation options for guests. The modern fully contained cottage is equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, small lounge room, and a balcony, providing the perfect space for those who prefer privacy and relaxation.

Additionally, the main house offers ample space and stunning views of the rivers. Guests staying in the main house can enjoy the warmth provided by an open fireplace and a heat transfer system during colder months.

The retreat centre also offers a work exchange programme, allowing participants to live and work in a caring environment. The aim of the programme is to provide an opportunity for personal and skill development and to foster a healthy and conscious lifestyle. Depending on the time of year, participants may work alone and learn ways to maintain a healthy inner environment.
