For over 150 years, the club has been a cherished part of Glasgows Southside community, offering exceptional sporting facilities and a tranquil social space for members. With a large and active membership, the club regularly hosts matches between members as well as against other local clubs. The club also extends a warm welcome to new members, whether they are experienced bowlers or novices curious to try the sport.
At Queens Park Bowling & Tennis Club, members enjoy the luxury of having two greens available for their use. This provides ample space for practise, friendly games, and competitive competitions. The clubhouse is equipped with a spacious hall, changing facilities, lockers, and, of course, an excellent bar that offers a wide selection of reasonably priced drinks. Even during the non-playing season for outdoor bowls, there are plenty of activities to keep members engaged.
The hall is utilised for short rink carpet bowls sessions and hosts weekly quiz nights during the winter months. Additionally, the club offers weekly year-round line dancing classes. Members can also take advantage of the two three-quarter-sized snooker tables in the annex house.
If you are in need of a venue for a special occasion, Queens Park Bowling & Tennis Club has got you covered. The main hall is well-proportioned and can accommodate up to 120 people for functions such as birthday parties, receptions, weddings, and ceilidhs. Located in the lush surroundings of Queens Park in the Southside of Glasgow, finding Queens Park Bowling & Tennis Club is simple. Public transport is the most convenient option, with multiple train stations within walking distance, including Crosshill station. Several main bus routes, such as the 4, 5, and 6 buses operated by First Bus, also have stops right outside the club. For those arriving by car, there is a small car park at the back of the club accessible via the entrance on Queens Drive.
Street parking is also readily available on both Langside Road and Queens Drive.
