Francesca Mazzotti, the owner of Pure Yin Yoga and Private Yoga Perth, is a passionate and knowledgeable yoga instructor based in Kalamunda, Western Australia. With a background in Art History and Italian Language & Literature, Francesca brings a unique perspective to her yoga practise. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from UWA and is currently working towards a degree in Transpersonal Psychology, with a particular interest in the gut-brain axis and how gut health affects mental well-being.
Francesca's yoga journey began in Italy, where she discovered Bikram Yoga and practised daily for several years. Struggling with chronic lower back pain, she was introduced to Yin Yoga and found that her pain disappeared within weeks of starting a daily practise. Inspired to share the healing potential of Yin Yoga with others, Francesca embarked on the path of teaching.
As a registered member of Yoga Australia and Yoga Alliance Australia, Francesca has received extensive training in Yin Yoga. She has completed a 200-hour Yin Yoga teacher training, which included a module on Traditional Chinese Medicine, under the guidance of Jo Phee and Joe Barnett. Additionally, she has completed primary and secondary level trainings with Yin Yoga co-founder, Sarah Powers, incorporating Yoga, Mindfulness, Buddhism, and Psychology into her practise.
Francesca is dedicated to offering her teachings in a nurturing and grounded manner, making yoga accessible, helpful, and meaningful for all students. She prioritises the integration of the body, heart, and mind, embodying the true essence of yoga.
