Rebecca Lomax, the heart behind Puddle Ducks Norfolk & Suffolk, wants to share some exciting news with our sports community. Located in Norwich, Puddle Ducks offers swimming classes for children of all ages and abilities. Rebecca and her team of experienced teachers aim to foster a love for swimming while building water confidence in a safe, welcoming environment.
The foundation of Puddle Ducks Norfolk & Suffolk is the Baby & Pre-school programme. These sessions provide an excellent bonding opportunity for parents and children, focusing on building water confidence through progressive lessons. Classes are held in warm pools with no more than ten children, ensuring each child gets the attention they need. Using rhyme, music, and movement, these classes are designed to suit each child's development, based on extensive research.
Rebecca is particularly proud that Puddle Ducks remains the only national baby swim school that's completely child-led. This method has been highly successful, with many children swimming over 10 metres before they even start school.
For the older kids, the Swim Academy offers classes aimed at teaching beautiful and efficient swimming techniques, as well as essential water safety and life-saving skills. With a maximum of four children per teacher, the focus is on personalised attention and effective coaching. Swim Academy classes run on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at Stratton Hall, Levington.
Puddle Ducks Norfolk & Suffolk has classes catering to various age groups and skill levels. From Floaties (0-6 months) to Splashers (6-15 months), Kickers (15-30 months), Little Dippers (30 months – 4 years), and Dippers (for those progressing from Little Dippers), there's something for everyone.
