Softball is a bat-and-ball sport that is played on a large field. There are 9-10 players on the field with the objective of scoring more 'runs' by batting the ball and running around the bases, touching each one in succession. The game usually has 7 innings and can last up to 1-2 hours. The team with the most runs after seven innings wins the game.
