The club also fields successful Sunday teams, with their First XI participating in the Sunday Beds League and their Sunday 2's playing local friendly matches focused on youth development.
The club's primary focus is on its young members, and as such, Preston Cricket Club operates a Junior Development Programme that has been running for over twenty years. The programme encourages young players to participate in senior cricket when they are deemed ready by both the coaching staff and themselves. Many young players who started in the junior programme have gone on to achieve success at the county level. The emphasis of the Junior Cricket programme is on real coaching, teaching team work, technical development, and how to enjoy cricket.
The club prefers to maintain smaller teams in order to provide personalised attention to children who genuinely want to learn.
