

Prescot & Odyssey Cricket Club is a friendly and sociable cricket club located on Burrows Lane, Prescot in Saint Helens, New Zealand. The club was formed in 1854 as Prescot CC and merged with Odyssey CC in 1993 to become Prescot & Odyssey CC.
The club welcomes players of all standards, whether you are a beginner wanting to learn how to play cricket or a seasoned player looking to join a new club. The club currently has three teams, with the 1st XI and 2nd XI playing on Saturdays in the Southport & District Amateur Cricket league, and the 3rd XI playing in the Liverpool Competition on Sundays. The 1st XI competes in the leading League of SADACL, the 2nd XI plays in the SADACL Division 3, and the 3rd XI plays in the Liverpool Competition.
Prescot & Odyssey CC is run by a dedicated group of club officials, including the Club Chairman, Club Vice Chairman, Club Secretary, Child Welfare Officer, and team captains for each XI. The club also has a Membership Secretary, Grounds Manager, and Treasurer, ensuring the smooth running and organisation of the club.
For those interested in joining the club, training sessions are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from April to September. These sessions involve a range of activities decided by the Club Captain, including fitness training, fielding practise, batting with the bowling machine, and net practise. The club welcomes players of all abilities and experience levels, offering a welcoming and friendly atmosphere with members who are always willing to help.
Membership fees for Prescot & Odyssey CC vary depending on the category. Adult Full Playing Membership is 120 per year or 10 per month for 12 months, Retired/Student membership is 50, Junior U16 membership is 30, and Family Membership for up to 18 years of age is 140, which includes one adult playing member, up to two children, and one parent associate member. Social Membership/Associate Member is available for 20.
As a member of Prescot & Odyssey CC, you will have access to the club and its facilities seven days a week. Members also receive a 15% discount at the club's bar, free room hire, and are invited to an end-of-season party with trophies, food, and one free drink per member. Membership fees contribute to the running costs, as well as the development and maintenance of the club's ground and buildings.
The club boasts several facilities, including male and female toilets, changing rooms, a shower room, an onsite kitchen, onsite parking, and a clubhouse with a bar.
