All drivers must meet certain requirements, including being at least 10 years old, 140 cm tall or taller, and weighing less than 120 kg. Protective gear such as balaclavas, enclosed shoes, and no loose clothing are mandatory for all racers.

PowerPlay Bibra Lake also offers the option to purchase a balaclava for $4 to keep and use for future races.
