At Powerplay, we make it easy for you to participate in our leagues. Simply bring your team, and we'll take care of the rest. Our leagues run in mini-seasons lasting between 8 to 13 weeks, giving you the opportunity to play all opponents twice. Each game typically lasts around 40 minutes, allowing for fast-paced and exciting matches.
Our leagues are divided into multiple divisions based on skill and experience level, ensuring fair competition. You'll be assigned an event organiser who will assist you in getting started and serve as your point of contact throughout the league. We provide all the necessary equipment and match officials, so you can focus solely on enjoying the game without any worries.
When it comes to cost, we offer affordable options for all players. Leading venues range from 6 to 10 per player, while standard venues are normally between 4 and 7 per player. We have no joining fees, affiliation fees, membership fees, or sign-up deposits, making it accessible for everyone to join.
Powerplay offers both 5-a-side and 7-a-side leagues for football, and all our netball leagues are 7-a-side. Football teams can have a squad of up to 9 players, allowing for unlimited substitutions. Seasons typically span from 1. 5 to 3 months, and at the end, the division winners receive a trophy.
The top two teams are promoted, while the bottom two are relegated, ensuring an exciting and competitive atmosphere throughout.
We pride ourselves on our organisation and professionalism. Our experienced staff and qualified officials ensure that each game runs smoothly and efficiently. We have an operations hotline for any queries, and on match nights, we always have a coordinator present at the venue to assist with any concerns.
Powerplay aims to create a relaxed and enjoyable environment for players of all abilities. We welcome individuals and teams of any skill level, and can place you in a lower division with teams of similar ability if needed. Our priority is to provide a competitive yet informal atmosphere where you can have fun while playing your favourite sport.
Unlike other leagues, we have eliminated common problems such as poor organisation and inexperienced officials. Our well-organised structure and commitment to quality ensure that every game is a positive experience. We have B or C qualified officials for netball matches and all our football referees are FA qualified.
