Hey team,
Jeremy Burrows here, your friendly organiser for the Porirua City Junior Cricket Club (PCJCC). We've been around since 2012 after the Mana and Whitby Junior cricket clubs joined forces. We're all about cricket for those in school years 0 to 8 and we draw players from all over Porirua, even as far north as Pukerua Bay.
Our focus is on inclusiveness and good sportsmanship. Jeremy and the crew have been working hard to ensure everyone enjoys their time and gets a chance to improve their skills.
Kicking off the 2023/24 season, we’re stoked to welcome over 200 players aged 5 to 12/13. To show our team spirit, all players need to grab the new PCJCC tops. You can get them from our official supplier at https://www.beltbuddy.co.nz/collections/porirua-cricket-club.
The season starts in early November with 17 games lined up, Sundays included. We’ve also got some matches with other Wellington-based clubs, both at home and away. Keep up with the latest updates and news on our Facebook page or check out the news tab on our website.
For the youngest cricketers, SuperStar cricket is on Mondays at 5:30pm at Ngati Toa Domain for school years 0/1 to 3. Saturday Club Cricket is available for school years 2 to 8.
For those playing in the hardball grades, there’s an awesome opportunity to join the annual cricket camp in Hastings in January. All the details are on our website.
Our club is based at 6L Pascoe Avenue, Mana, Porirua 5026. If you have any questions, feel free to drop Jeremy an email.
We’re backed by Sporty, the digital platform that powers sports organisations in New Zealand. Sporty makes managing the club easy with online registrations, member databases, website management, competition management, and more.
No matter the size of your club, Sporty has options to fit your needs and budget, from free packages to VIP options. They offer services like a website, mobile app, eNewsletter sender, web form builder, and 0800 helpdesk support.
At PCJCC, we're all about creating a positive cricket experience for everyone. Join us and be part of our cricket community today!
Catch you on the field,
Jeremy and the PCJCC Crew
