Poole Amateur Rowing Club is the oldest sporting club in Poole, having been founded in 1873. It celebrated its 125th Anniversary in 1998, an achievement that is unique to the town of Poole and South Coast rowing. The club is based in the heart of Poole, near the Poole Lifting Bridge.
The club offers a range of activities and services for both experienced rowers and newcomers to the sport. They run regular New Rowers Courses, which provide an opportunity for those interested in rowing or coxing to learn and give it a try. The courses are held over three weeks and cost 30. The next course will start on Sunday, 17th March 2019, and continue on 24th March and 3rd April at 10am.

Peter Jacobs serves as the Club Captain and is available to discuss all matters related to rowing, the day-to-day running of the club, and inquiries from new rowers. Tracy Hill serves as the Chair and Junior Coordinator, and Clare Welford is the Membership Coordinator.
