Pisces Swimming School at GSAL (Swimming Lessons) is West Yorkshire's premier swim school, offering swimming lessons for children of all abilities from 4 years of age. Founded in 1996 by Jackie Moore, who has a true passion for teaching swimming, Pisces Swimming School has grown to become a reputable institution in the Leeds area. Jackie was later joined by her husband Robin, who also brings over 35 years of experience working in the leisure industry. Their son Joe and daughter Alice have taken on more prominent roles in the business after teaching with the swimming school for over 10 years.

At Pisces Swimming School, children's swimming lessons are held at three different venues: Ackworth School near Pontefract, Silcoates School in Wakefield, and The Grammar School at Leeds in North Leeds. These venues have kindly provided their facilities to support the swimming school. Each lesson is taught in small classes by experienced and friendly water-based swimming teachers. There is also a swimming coordinator present at all sessions to assist with any queries.

All the teaching staff at Pisces Swimming School are qualified Amateur Swimming Association or STA teachers and have undergone DBS checks. The school is also affiliated with the Royal Life Saving Society UK, ensuring a high level of safety and professionalism.

The aim of Pisces Swimming School is to produce confident and safe swimmers with a good standard of stroke, and to equip them with the skills required to enjoy water-based activities. The school strives to provide a safe environment for learning and promotes a positive and enjoyable swimming experience for all children.

Payment for swimming lessons can be made either at the poolside desk in cash or by credit/debit card. Additionally, card payments can also be made over the phone for convenience. It is important to note that places for the Spring Term are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and late payments may result in a loss of guarantee for a place.
