Pilates with Barbara, located in Hove, offers a unique and personalised Pilates experience for individuals of all fitness levels. With a mix of in-person and online classes, Barbara aims to cater to the preferences and needs of her clients.
For those who prefer attending classes in person, Barbara conducts sessions at St George's Church Hall on Thursday evenings, Westdene Scout & Guide Hut on Wednesday mornings, and in her Hove garden on Friday mornings, weather permitting. Additionally, for those who enjoy the convenience and flexibility of online sessions, there are three Zoom classes available per week.
Barbara, a fully trained Stott matwork instructor, has vast experience in teaching Pilates. Her classes include small group courses, one-to-one sessions, and general classes. She has a particular focus on assisting clients in regaining fitness after illness or injury. To provide the utmost support, Barbara has undertaken specialised training in rehabilitation Pilates, special conditions, and pelvic health.
Her ultimate goal is to ensure that clients not only benefit from Pilates but also enjoy the practise.
During May 2019, Barbara collaborated with Kasia from Pure Tennis travel specialists to organise a four-day Pilates retreat in the picturesque resort of Malcesine, located on the stunning Lake Garda in Italy. This successful retreat involved twice-daily Pilates classes, as well as opportunities for participants to indulge in local cuisine and beverages, enjoy activities such as paragliding, explore the area's attractions, and engage in a bit of retail therapy. Although the anticipated return to Malcesine in June 2020 was unfortunately cancelled due to the global pandemic, plans for UK-based Pilates retreats in 2022 are currently being considered.
