Weakness. It is important to assess the strength and function of your pelvic floor muscles in preparation for pregnancy.

CORE STRENGTHENING The core muscles play a vital role in supporting your spine and pelvis during pregnancy. Our Physiotherapist will assess your core strength and provide exercises to strengthen these muscles in preparation for the physical demands of pregnancy.

LOW BACK ASSESSMENT Pregnancy can put additional strain on your lower back, leading to discomfort and pain. Our Physiotherapist will assess your spine and provide strategies to maintain good posture and prevent or manage any lower back issues throughout pregnancy.

PELVIC ALIGNMENT Pregnancy can cause changes in pelvic alignment, which can contribute to pain and discomfort. Our Physiotherapist will assess your pelvic alignment and provide techniques to optimise alignment and reduce any associated pain.

PLAN FOR SAFE EXERCISE During pregnancy, exercise is significant for both the mother's and baby's health. Our Physiotherapist will provide guidance on safe and appropriate exercises during pregnancy, taking into consideration any specific conditions or concerns.

By participating in the Prepare for Pregnancy programme at Physio Pilates Collective, you can ensure that you are well-prepared physically and mentally for your pregnancy journey. Our goal is to support and empower women to have a positive and healthy pregnancy experience.

In addition to our women's health physiotherapy services, we also offer prenatal and postnatal Pilates classes. These classes are specifically designed to provide safe and effective exercise routines for pregnant and postpartum women.
