The Free Water Park & Public Play Space Swimming club in Petrie is excited to promote a local swimming event that is sure to make a splash! Thanks to the partnership between Council, the Caboolture Sports Club, and the Federal and State Governments, a brand new $6.15 million rugby union and touch football facility will soon be available at the Petersen Road Sports Ground, Morayfield.
This fantastic project is the result of a successful sports infrastructure partnership between the Caboolture Sports Club (CSC) and the Council. With 10 leases and 22 sports field permits across nine Council sports venues in the region, the CSC is committed to supporting local sports and the community.
The upgrades to the Petersen Road Sports Ground will include the demolition of the existing clubhouse and the construction of a brand new one. This new clubhouse will feature four multipurpose changerooms, amenities, a kitchen, viewing decks, and tiered seating. These improvements aim to support the growth and inclusivity of the Caboolture Snakes Rugby Union Club and the Caboolture Touch Association, enabling them to attract a new generation of players.
Not only will this facility provide a home for the Caboolture Snakes Rugby Union Club and the Caboolture Touch Association, but it will also act as a focal point for the entire community. The goal is to create a space where people can come together to enjoy sports, connect with one another, and have a great time.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Caboolture Sports Club and the Federal and State Governments for their support and investment in our community's sporting facilities. This project would not have been possible without their dedication and commitment.
So, mark your calendars and get ready to dive in! The local swimming event at the Petersen Road Sports Ground is going to be a splashing success. Join us for a day filled with fun, competition, and a celebration of our incredible sports community. Let's make a big splash together!
