Perth Aikido

Perth Aikido, the local martial arts class in Perth, is excited to invite interested players to an upcoming Aikido event. This club embraces the principles of the Art of Peace, which go beyond physical combat and are applicable across different time periods and locations.

For those who are new to Aikido or martial arts in general, Perth Aikido warmly welcomes beginners. Their Friday night classes run from 6.30pm to 7.30pm or 7.35pm to 8.30pm, providing flexible options for individuals with different schedules. Additionally, there is a Sunday class from 12.30pm to 1.30pm or 1.35pm to 2.30pm for those who prefer a weekend training session.

New students are given the opportunity to attend two free classes, allowing them to experience Aikido without any obligation. To make it even easier for beginners, uniforms can be borrowed during these introductory sessions.

To join a class, it is recommended that beginners arrive at least 15 minutes before the start-time to ensure a smooth transition and get acquainted with the training environment.

After the initial two free classes, students who wish to continue their Aikido journey at Perth Aikido will need to complete a Membership Form. Along with the form, there is an annual Membership fee and a Training fee required for ongoing participation. The annual membership fee stands at $100 per year, with a reduced fee of $50 for the first year if joining after June 30th. Additionally, there is a monthly training fee that covers a minimum of 8 classes per calendar month. This fee must be paid on the first day of training each month.

At Perth Aikido, progress is recognised and celebrated. Kyu level gradings, which are gradings below black-belt level, take place at least twice a year. The club does not charge any grading fees for those below black-belt level, making the journey towards mastery more accessible for everyone.
