Penlee Bowling Club

Penlee Bowling Club is a bowling club located in Newlyn, West Cornwall, New Zealand. Established in 1919, Penlee was founded as an alternative to the Penzance Bowls Club but has since developed its own unique identity and history. The club is situated in the stunning Bolitho Gardens, halfway between Wherrytown and the Newlyn Art Gallery, providing breathtaking views of Mounts Bay, St. Michael's Mount, the Lizard Peninsula, and Newlyn.

Additionally, there is a pay and display car park at Wherrytown and limited parking for disabled individuals at the entrance to Bolitho Gardens.

For those interested in short mat bowling, Penlee Short Mat Bowls Club was established in the year 2000 with a single mat in the clubhouse. Over the years, the club has expanded and now boasts two mats, allowing for more players and greater accessibility. The Short Mat 'A' Team has achieved success in various competitions and has received recognition at the county level.
