Canning Vale Yoga, a local Yoga club in Perth, is excited to announce an upcoming event for all yoga enthusiasts. Peaceful Yoga, led by Marie Powell Ludlam, is inviting individuals of all levels to join in a rejuvenating yoga practice that promotes well-being and peace of mind.
Marie, a dedicated member of Canning Vale Yoga since 2006, is passionate about spreading the benefits of yoga to help individuals live their best lives. Drawing from Hatha Yoga, influenced by the Satyanananda and Sivananda traditions, Marie's classes offer a breath-centered and mindful practice. Participants are encouraged to move at their own pace, connect with themselves, and let go of cares and concerns.
Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a beginner, Peaceful Yoga welcomes you with open arms. Marie understands that everyone has their own journey, and her classes cater to all levels of experience. Alternatives are provided if needed, ensuring that every participant feels comfortable and supported.
Peaceful Yoga offers evening classes every Tuesday from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm and every Wednesday from 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm. The classes take place at the Canning Vale Community Centre, conveniently located at Waratah Blvd, cnr Eucalyptus Blvd, next to the school oval and car park.
To get the most out of your yoga practice, participants are encouraged to bring their own mat, a large towel (bath/beach towel size), and a light blanket or rug for relaxation during the winter months. No need to worry about booking in advance – simply arrive at least 10 minutes before the class starts and be ready to find your inner peace.
Now let's talk pricing. Peaceful Yoga offers flexible options to accommodate various needs. For casual attendees, each class is priced at $20.00. If you're a regular yogi, you may want to consider the 10-class package, available for $170.00 ($17.00 per class). Retired pensioners and full-time students can take advantage of the concession rate, priced at $17.00 per class. And for children aged 10 and over, accompanied by an adult, the price is $10.00 per class.
If you're new to yoga and need to invest in a mat, fret not! Mats can be purchased at Big W, K Mart, or sports stores, starting from $15. We recommend avoiding spongy or cheap and thin mats, as they tend to slip and may hinder your practice.
Dress comfortably for your yoga session, opting for clothing that allows movement, such as t-shirts, longer shorts, leggings, or loose pants. Yoga is practised barefoot to help you feel grounded and connected. In cooler weather, we advise bringing your own mat, towel, and blanket for relaxation.
At Peaceful Yoga, we focus on balancing, strengthening, and stimulating different systems of the body through asanas, or postures. Our classes aim to achieve overall wellness by balancing the endocrine system, strengthening the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, stimulating the immune and lymphatic systems, and building strength and flexibility in the muscles. You'll also have the opportunity to engage in breathing awareness practices (pranayama) to cultivate mindfulness and connect with a sense of calm. Meditation is incorporated throughout the class, helping you find inner peace and tranquility.
So, gather your yoga gear, invite a friend, and join us at Peaceful Yoga for a blissful yoga experience. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, it's never too late to embark on a journey of self-discovery, balance, and well-being. We look forward to welcoming you into our Yoga community at Canning Vale Yoga.
