Pathless Yoga is a unique yoga studio located in Montreal, offering a non-dual approach to yoga that invites participants to explore and celebrate their inherent presence and true nature. The studio, founded by Joan Ruvinsky, draws inspiration from the teachings of Kashmiri Shaivism and focuses on quiet, gentle, non-volitional movement as a gateway to a sense of spaciousness and stillness.
At Pathless Yoga, practitioners are encouraged to surrender the tendency to focus on teachings, concepts, and practices, and instead to simply rest in the recognition of "just this" - the nameless presence that has always been here, before the search began, during its intensity, and after its cessation. This approach to yoga allows for a deep exploration of the unknown and an invitation to live directly, moment to moment, in the mystery.
The studio offers a variety of classes, including meditative yoga, body sensing, and yoga nidra, a simple meditative technique practiced while resting comfortably. Classes are held via Zoom and feature discussions on various topics that are interwoven into the practice. In-person classes are also available in Victoria. The studio's spring class schedule includes 6-week sessions of yoga nidra and meditative yoga, as well as drop-in sessions for both practices.
In addition to classes, Pathless Yoga hosts guest blogs and articles, providing a community forum for sharing wisdom from friends, colleagues, and sangha members. The studio's approach to yoga is inclusive, welcoming individuals of all levels and backgrounds to come and explore the depths of their own hearts and minds. Join Pathless Yoga on the pathless path of discovery and self-exploration.
