Michelle here, your friendly organiser from Papakura Rugby and Netball Club. We've got a fantastic community hub right in the heart of Papakura, Auckland, and I’m excited to tell you about it.
Papakura Rugby and Netball Club isn't just a place to play sports; it’s a part of our history and community spirit. Since 1953, our clubrooms and main ground have been based at Massey Park. You’ll find history on the walls and in our main grandstand - originally from Eden Park, relocated in 1957 and nicely refurbished since.
The facilities are top-notch. We’ve got four changing rooms, all with showers and toilets. Referees, physios, and strappers have their own separate spaces too. And on those rainy days, our indoor hall becomes a hive of activity with teams warming up.
Our playing field is in great nick all year round – perfect for training and matches. Plus, we make use of the athletics track around the field for extra fitness work. Papakura Rugby Football Club often hosts age grade and pre-season National Championship games thanks to our floodlit fields and solid ground conditions. We also have access to South Park and Mansell Fields for pre-season activities.
New players of all ages, from juniors to seniors, are always welcome. Supporters too! You're all invited to join and be part of our vibrant sport-loving community. If you’re keen on hiring our modern facilities, check out the Club Hire page.
Our clubrooms have been the heart of the club for over 50 years, and underneath, there’s a public gym for all fee-paying members.
