Jane wanted to give you a heads-up about the Palm Springs Geothermal Pools Complex in Parakai, Auckland. It’s been recently done up and looks pretty sharp now.
The place has some of New Zealand’s best geothermal water. It's top for relaxing or just having a chill swim. You’ll find the pools nice and clean, with showers and changing rooms in good nick. The staff are friendly and there to help out if you need anything.
Palm Springs has you covered with flexible opening hours: from 10am to 9pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. They open a bit later on Sunday at 3pm, closing at 9pm. Just a heads-up—they’re shut on Tuesdays but open on public holidays from 10am to 9pm.
Entry fees are decent too. Adults (16+) pay $24, kids (4-15) are $13, and seniors (65+) get in for $16. A family of four can enjoy the pools for $68. If the littlies aren’t potty-trained, make sure they’re in swimming nappies, which you can grab there for $3.
For the regulars, there’s a concession card for 10 entries at a cheaper rate. Adults can get a card for $180, kids for $97.50, and seniors for $120.
