Pakuranga Croquet Club

Join the vibrant Pakuranga Croquet Club at Lloyd Elsmore Park, Auckland, where Harley Grey and his dedicated team run the show! With 4 top-notch lawns and a lively membership of around 65 players, this is the ultimate spot for croquet enthusiasts.

Focused on Golf Croquet, Pakuranga offers games every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning at 8:50 am, and Friday mornings at 10:00 am. Play three challenging games with a break for morning tea (two games on Fridays). Croquet here isn’t just a game; it's “chess on grass,” and it’s perfect for everyone, offering strategy, judgement, and skill over sheer strength.

Newcomers are always welcome at Pakuranga. Beginners get coaching to sharpen their skills, and thanks to the handicap system, everyone has a fair shot at winning. Just pop in with flat-soled shoes and casual gear, and the club will even lend you a mallet. Plus, your first three visits are on the house!

When daylight saving kicks in, don’t miss the social “twilight” games on Thursdays at 4 pm, followed by a BBQ. It’s a great way to mix and mingle with the friendly Pakuranga community.

Joining is easy with an annual subscription of $300, covering unlimited play and access to the clubhouse facilities. There's also a $30 joining fee for new members, which gets you a name badge, game tags, and a key to the lawns. Test out some mallets, find your perfect fit, and within three months, you’ll have your own.
