Welcome to Page Park Bowls Club, a thriving, and friendly bowling club located in the North-east Bristol suburb of Staple Hill. Situated in the beautiful Page Park, our club offers a warm social atmosphere and a range of opportunities to play friendly and competitive bowls.
Page Park Bowls Club is the result of a recent merger between two established clubs in the park, Page Park BC and Page Ladies BC. With a long history and significant achievements, our club now has the capacity to provide bowling opportunities for players of all levels of experience.
Owned by South Gloucestershire Council and leased to the club, our facilities are well-maintained and provide a pleasant environment for members. We recently obtained major grant funding for renovation, including the addition of a new caf built adjacent to our clubhouse.
Coaching is available for anyone interested in trying out the sport of bowls, with further opportunities to join our club if desired. For established bowlers, we have a total of six league teams (four men's and two ladies') competing weekly in various Bristol area leagues. Additionally, we organise a multitude of interclub friendly games against other clubs from across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
There is no shortage of chances to play regular bowls at Page Park Bowls Club. Men's friendlies take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays, women's on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and mixed games on Sundays. We also host numerous club competitions throughout the season, which runs from mid-April to late-September.
In addition to our bowling activities, we run a popular club tour in the UK every year in early June. This provides an opportunity for members to travel and participate in bowling games in different locations. Our 2024 tour will be to Exmouth.
One of the remarkable aspects of our club is that the basic subscription fees are fantastic value, currently standing at 115. 00 per season. There are no additional fees for each game played, or each competition entered, except for charity/fundraising games.
