Pōneke Watersports is a dragon boat club based in Wellington, training and paddling all year round. It suits complete beginners through to experienced paddlers, with teams that cater for both more social and more competitive dragon boating. Training happens in Wellington City and launches take place from Whairepo Lagoon. The club runs multiple teams, including paddling at the Wellington Dragon Boat Festival each year, and joins regional and national regattas.
