About
Welcome to Omanu Beach Surf Life Saving Club! Nestled in Omanu, New Zealand, this surf lifesaving club was founded in 1947 and is driven by a mission to ensure water safety and save lives in the community.
Under Tom's guidance, Omanu Beach SLSC focuses on lifeguarding. The team, made up of highly trained and dedicated lifeguards, works relentlessly to keep beachgoers safe.
For kids aged 5–13, there's the Junior Surf programme aimed at building water confidence and safety skills through enjoyable activities and training.
If you're into high-energy competition, Tom's Surf Sports programme caters to all skill levels, providing opportunities to compete at both regional and national levels.
Want to dive into lifeguarding? The Rookies programme is the perfect start, offering essential skills and a chance to make great friends.
Backing the club is an incredible team of volunteers whose efforts ensure everything runs smoothly.
Stay updated with the club's events calendar and check out the winter pool rescue programme for skills-based training during the colder months.
