Ohku Kai Karate club

Ohtsuka Sensei founded Wado Ryu Karate in 1934, combining traditional Karate techniques with efficient and effective methods. "Wado" translates to "Way of Peace," reflecting his belief in martial arts as a form of self-defence and self-improvement. The style is noted for its emphasis on body movement, evasive techniques, and natural body mechanics.

Today, the Ohku Kai Karate club in London, under the guidance of Sensei Leo Musyoki, proudly upholds this tradition. Sensei Leo offers training sessions for all ages and skill levels, from beginners to experienced martial artists. Group sessions take place on Mondays from 7:30pm to 9:00pm at the Wandle Recreation Centre on Mapleton Road, Wandsworth. Private lessons can also be scheduled by appointment.

The club is easily accessible by public transport, with numerous railway and underground stations nearby. Ohku Kai Karate club is affiliated with the Wado Ryu Karate Do Academy and the English Karate Federation. All instructors are CRB checked and insured, maintaining a secure and professional training environment. The teachings follow the principles of Masafumi Shiomitsu, 9th Dan Hanshi of the Wado Ryu Karate Do Academy.
