At the Norwich Water Ski Club, we pride ourselves on the quality of our coaches and boat drivers. All of our coaches are UKCC qualified, ensuring that you receive top-notch instruction and guidance. Our boat drivers are also highly skilled and experienced, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience on the water.
Membership at our club is open to anyone who wants to try our sport, whether you are a complete beginner or a top tournament competition skier or wakeboarder. We have around 40 members of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities, making us a diverse and welcoming community. We offer a range of membership options, including single, family, and junior memberships. Our membership runs from April to March, and we also offer a discounted membership fee for British Water Ski & Wakeboard (BWSW) members.
In terms of pricing, we offer competitive rates for our skiing sessions. Adult skiers can enjoy a session for 12, while junior skiers can participate for 10. Guests of members are also welcome to join us for a session, with a fee of 20. Non-members can also get in on the fun, at a rate of 25 per session.
Our club operates on certain days throughout the week, as we share the use of the lake with the Bluebird Deaf Water Ski Club. We ski on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, and alternate Tuesdays. During the summer months, we have a drivers' rota on Sundays to ensure that there is always a boat driver available between 10am and 4pm. Weekday ski times are typically from the end of the working day, dependent on driver availability.
We recommend calling the clubhouse before heading out to ensure that the club is open.
In addition to our regular skiing sessions, we also offer private hire days where groups can rent out the lake and facilities for their own exclusive use. This is a great option for parties, team building events, or special occasions. For more information on private hire, please contact any of the committee members listed on our Contact Us page.
Our clubhouse offers all the amenities you need to make the most of your time at the Norwich Water Ski Club. We have a fully fitted kitchen with an oven, fridge, dishwasher, and microwave, as well as outdoor tables, chairs, and a gas barbecue for those summer days and evenings. There are separate changing rooms for men and women, equipped with showers and toilets. Inside, there is a comfortable seating area with a TV and WiFi connexion.
