Northumberland Linskill Bowls Club was formed in 2007 after the merge of the old Northumberland Bowling Club and Linskill Bowling Club. With a long and rich history, this club offers members the opportunity to participate in the sport on most days of the week from April to September.
In addition to friendly social play, members of Northumberland Linskill Bowls Club can also choose to compete against other clubs in local and county leagues. The club supports members who wish to participate in County or National competitions by aiding their entry process. The 2023 leagues played by Northumberland Linskill include the Knott Cup on Monday evenings (Tynemouth & District league), Clegg League Div. 4 on Wednesday evenings (Northumberland County league), and the Hateley League on Thursday afternoons (Over 50s senior league).
The club boasts a new pavilion that opened in 2015. This pavilion, which is shared with another bowling club, offers modern, well-equipped facilities including changing areas, a kitchen, and toilets. Members can make use of these facilities at their convenience.
Aside from league play, Northumberland Linskill Bowls Club organises practise sessions, informal social bowling events called “jumbles,” and in-club competitions throughout the outdoor season.
