Welcome to North Star Martial Arts Kids and Youth Classes, a premier kickboxing school in Derby, New Zealand. Our school is dedicated to providing top-quality martial arts training to children and young adults. Whether you are a beginner or have previous experience in martial arts, we welcome you with open arms.
Led by our highly qualified and experienced instructor, Liam Harper-Camm (3rd Dan Blackbelt), our instructors are fully insured and have received extensive training in first aid. With over 20 years of experience in martial arts, you can trust that you are in capable hands.
We offer a range of classes to cater to different goals and interests. Whether your focus is on fitness, self-defence, gradings, or competition, we have something for everyone. Our classes are designed to help students achieve their respective goals and develop a well-rounded skill set.
Located in Mickleover, Derby, our classes are held at the Mickleover Pavilion and Bramblebrook Community Centre. We also have classes in Long Eaton at the Long Eaton Martial Arts Centre. Our class schedule is flexible, with classes available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
For children aged 7-16, we offer specialised kids' classes. These classes incorporate fun and engaging activities to develop physical fitness, discipline, and self-confidence in a safe and supportive environment. Our instructors tailor the classes to suit the age and skill level of each child, ensuring they receive the best possible training.
We also offer ladies-only kickboxing classes for women aged 16 and above. Our classes focus on strength and conditioning, bodyweight exercises, stretching, pad work, and bag work. Sparring work is optional, allowing students to learn at their own pace. Our aim is to create a welcoming and empowering environment where women can achieve their training goals.
At North Star Martial Arts Kids and Youth Classes, we prioritise the safety and well-being of our students. Our coaches are fully insured and hold first aid qualifications. Furthermore, we are affiliated with The British Martial Arts & Boxing Association, ensuring that our training methods and classes meet the highest standards.
