Are you the owner of Cabaret Theatre School?

Is an Associate teacher with the IDTA and teaches Tap and Modern at our Burton school. She trained at Cabaret Theatre School and has performed in many shows and festivals. Melissa is also a qualified fitness instructor and runs our Adult Fitness classes.
At Cabaret Theatre School, our focus is on providing a comprehensive dance training experience in a lively and welcoming environment. We strive to foster self-confidence, discipline, coordination, good posture, flexibility, and, most importantly, enjoyment in our students. Our classes cover various dance styles, including Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, and Singing.
We are proud to have a high exam pass rate, as our students are regularly entered for exams with the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA). They receive certificates and awards for their achievements, which not only recognise their progress but also serve as a testament to their dedication and hard work.
One of the highlights of our school year is the shows held by our schools in local theatres in Derby and Burton. These shows provide an opportunity for all our students to showcase their talent and hard work in front of a live audience. It is a truly memorable experience for our students and their families.
In addition to our regular dance classes and shows, we also offer audition opportunities for pantomimes and shows produced by our own Theatre Company. These performances allow our students to further develop their skills and gain valuable performance experience.
During school holidays, we organise fun and engaging workshops with a musical theatre theme for our younger pupils. These workshops provide a unique and enjoyable way for our students to continue their dance training and connect with other young dancers.
At our Burton Studio, we offer Glow Bambino, a multisensory class designed for babies and small tots. This class provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for the little ones to explore movement and music.
Our team of highly qualified and experienced teachers is dedicated to ensuring that our students receive the best possible training. Miss Sally Everson, our Principal and Producer, is a Fellow of the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) and has a wealth of experience as a dancer and teacher. Miss Lorien Conti and Miss Andrea Osborne are both Associate teachers with the IDTA, and they teach a range of subjects at both our Littleover and Burton schools. Miss Sara Evans-Bolger, who teaches at our Littleover school and holiday workshops, has a background in primary education and regularly performs in musical theatre productions.
Chris Moss, an ex-student of Cabaret Theatre School, now serves as the Director of our Theatre Company's productions. Miss Melissa Columbell, another alumnus of our school, is an Associate teacher with the IDTA and specialises in Tap and Modern.
We welcome students of all ages and abilities to join us at Cabaret Theatre School.
