Welcome to Northern Lights Raceway, located in Fort St John, British Columbia. Our track is situated east of Fort St. John in Northeastern British Columbia, just minutes from downtown and near the local airport. The track was established in 1998 with the original intention of running a 1/8 mile, but has since been expanded to a 1/4 mile track.
As a volunteer-based non-profit organization, we have received approximately $500,000 in donated funds and labour to help maintain and improve our facility. The track is leased from the North Peace Airport Services, and the Control Tower was generously donated by BC Highways (originally the old weigh scales building at mile 54). We are grateful to all the executives and volunteers who dedicate their time and effort each week to make our racing events possible.
Our track record stands at 6. 55 seconds at 211. 16 mph, set on September 12, 1999. The current track ET record is 6.
40 seconds, set on July 25, 2016, by Dave Kowalski. We host a variety of local and out-of-town racers who come to tear up the track and compete in thrilling races.
For those interested in learning more about bracket racing, we provide information to help participants understand how the format works and how to be successful in competition. Our list of race winners is regularly updated to celebrate the achievements of our talented racers.
