The Northern Districts Little Athletics Centre is gearing up for an exciting Winter Cross Country 2024 season, set to kick off on Sunday, April 28, 2024. This 8-week event is open to all ages, so don't worry if you can't make every Sunday afternoon. The final meet on June 23, 2024, will feature a fun reverse handicap race that everyone is sure to enjoy!
Athletes registered with NDLAC, another Little Athletics centre, or a senior athletics club can jump into the action at no extra cost, as this event is already included in the seasonal registration. Newcomers are also more than welcome to join by paying a $40 registration fee, which can be reimbursed if they decide to sign up for the 2024-25 NDLAC Summer season.
Participants will compete in various distances based on their age group, ranging from 500m for U6 and younger to 3000m for U13 and above. Athletes can even choose to tackle multiple distances each week to step up their training game for the upcoming schools' representative XC season.
With parents' help needed each week for event setup, course marshalling, finishers' procession, and equipment packing, it truly takes a village to make these events a success. Parking can be found on the eastern side of Lancelot Street or Foxglove Road to avoid any congestion from other sporting events.

Families are encouraged to arrive a bit early in the first week to finalize registrations and payments, and take a stroll around the course.
