York Centre Karate is excited to invite all interested players to participate in the North York Open Tournament. It promises to be a fun and competitive event for kids, youth, cadets, and junior athletes in the Karate community.
Scheduled for Sunday, March 24th, 2024, at La LIGA Sports Complex, the tournament will kick off bright and early at 9.40 am. Make sure to arrive on time for the designated start times for each category, taking place on Fields 1 and 2.
With a focus on providing a top-notch competition experience, the tournament aims to create a supportive environment that eases the pressures often associated with competition. Participants can look forward to showcasing their skills in Individual Kata and Individual Kumite categories, all under a modified double elimination system.
Medals will be up for grabs in each category, with every attendee receiving a participation certificate to commemorate the event. Beyond the competition, the North York Open Tournament also aims to foster camaraderie among young Karate enthusiasts from various clubs, building a strong sense of community within the sport.
