Woonona Surf Life Saving Club invites you to join in on the fun at their Nippers event! Specifically designed for children aged 5 to 13 years, Nippers offers an exciting and educational experience where kids can enhance their swimming abilities, expand their social circle, and learn valuable skills.
While it's not mandatory for children to be excellent swimmers from the get-go, a basic level of swimming proficiency is beneficial. The age groups for the Nippers program are determined by the child's age as of September 30th each year. The program runs from October to March, providing plenty of time for your child to embrace the water and enjoy the activities.
Nippers meet every fortnight for two hours at the Woonona SLSC clubhouse. During these sessions, they'll focus on developing fundamental surf skills, dive into essential water safety training, and engage in friendly competition to spur their competitive spirits. Safety always comes first, so proficiency assessments are conducted at the beginning of the season to ensure the children are well-prepared for their aquatic adventures.
