Woonona Surf Life Saving Club

Welcome to Woonona Surf Life Saving Club, a family-oriented sports club located in Wollongong, Australia. Our club promotes friendliness, co-operation, and fairness, and we encourage 100% participation from all members. Whether you have no prior experience with surf lifesaving or are an experienced club member looking to return, we welcome everyone to join our club.

Woonona Surf Life Saving Club has been recognised for its excellence in the Illawarra region, having been awarded the Illawarra Club of the Year in 2009, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2019, as well as the Illawarra Patrolling Club of the Year in 2009, 2013, and 2014. In addition, we were honoured with the NSW Club of the Year award in 2013.

Our registration for the 2023/24 season is now open, with the season starting on October 8, 2023. We offer registrations for nippers (children) and senior members. Two registration days will be held, and details will be posted on our Facebook pages. Every nipper family must have at least one parent join as a member of Woonona Surf Life Saving Club.

Individual memberships for children and parents can be completed online, and we also offer discounted family memberships. Early registrations completed before October 31st receive a $10 discount on the senior or family rate.

For those interested in our Bronze Medallion and SRC courses, we will be starting classes on October 8, 2023, at 8am. Please contact Joe at 0402 001 400 for more information and the prerequisites for the courses.

We recently held our annual presentation for the 2022/23 season, where we recognised and rewarded our members' contributions to the club and the wider community. Awards were given in various categories, including Junior Encouragement, Senior Encouragement, Best New Member, Quiet Achiever, and more. We also honoured members for their Patrol Service and Long Service to the Surf Lifesaving movement.
