NEW WAVE ACADEMY

New Wave Academy is a leading Martial Arts school based in London, offering Tae Kwon Do and Hap Ki Do classes. Established in 1995 by Alex and Cliff Edwin, the academy has a strong focus on producing stronger and more focused individuals through the practise of martial arts, as well as nurturing young role models and future leaders.

Over the past twenty years, New Wave Academy has achieved remarkable success in producing Junior Tae Kwon Do Champions in both Sparring and Forms Tournaments. Its students have also competed at the national level and internationally, representing the academy in countries like Germany, Holland, and the USA. While the instructors take pride in these accomplishments, they are primarily focused on the positive impact they have had on the lives of their students and the transformations in their perspectives through martial arts education.

The academy follows a strict Student Code of Conduct for its Tae Kwon Do students, which includes respecting oneself, fellow students, and instructors, as well as giving a 100% effort in lessons. Safety is also a top priority, with students encouraged to practise Tae Kwon Do in their own time as long as it is safe for themselves and those around them. Additionally, students are reminded that Tae Kwon Do is for self-defence purposes only and should not be used to take advantage of others.

New Wave Academy welcomes individuals of all skill levels who are ready to take the next step in their martial arts journey. Whether one wishes to become a contributor to the academy's cause or actively participate in the classes, there are opportunities available for everyone.

New Wave Academy keeps its students and parents informed about the upcoming events through its calendar. The calendar lists all the important dates and events, including classes resumption, camps, and celebrations. It is significant to note that while the majority of events have been booked and confirmed, there may be changes in dates or fees at short notice. However, the academy strives to provide as much notice as possible to students and parents in case of any changes.

As New Wave Academy looks forward to celebrating its 28th year of teaching quality Tae Kwon Do and Hap Ki Do in and around Nunhead, South East London in December 2023, it continues to provide top-notch martial arts education and training to its students.
