New Farm Equestrian is a family-run livery enterprise located in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds in Muckton. Founded in 1998 by Sue Ringrose, New Farm Equestrian serves as a hub for equestrian excellence. The centre offers a wide range of livery services and effective coaching for all disciplines to cater to the needs of horse riders and enthusiasts.
At New Farm Equestrian, visitors can expect a warm and friendly atmosphere, with a helpful team readily available to provide assistance and support. The centre is situated in the picturesque surroundings of the Lincolnshire Wolds, just 5 miles south of the historic market town of Louth.
It's important to note that New Farm Equestrian is not a Riding School, and therefore cannot provide horses or ponies for riding lessons and hacks. However, it does offer comprehensive livery services for horse owners.
The centre has received positive feedback from East Midlands Rider Kate Knight, who expresses gratitude for a fantastic training day organised by Sue Ringrose at Norton Disney Equestrian. She finds training with Sue to be useful and inspiring, and has even renewed her BE membership and entered Bishop Burton.
For those interested in booking more training with Sue, there is a link provided on the centre's social media page and club directories.
New Farm Equestrian also collaborates with Meridian Equestrian Marketing Ltd, a company started by Sue Ringrose and Joanne Brown in 2006. The company initially focused on supplying straightforward young horses to the eventing market. Over the years, they have successfully procured and sold quality Irish, TB, and Warmblood horses to satisfied clients nationwide.
Their flagship horse, “Our Opening Bid,” a promising young event horse, has competed in BYEH competitions and achieved impressive results, including a 6th place at Bramham. The horse has even progressed to compete in British Eventing Intermediate and 1* competitions.
After a period of hiatus, Meridian Equestrian Marketing Ltd made a comeback in 2018, securing five lovely and straightforward young Irish Sport horses. Three of these horses have already been sold. The focus is on producing horses suitable for the middle range event market and as quality all-rounders. Their main aim is to produce horses with kind trainable temperaments, good conformation, and movement.
Sue Ringrose, with her 45 years of competitive experience, has evented horses at various levels, many of which have achieved positive results on the international stage with other riders. Joanne Brown, who previously show jumped at Grade A in South Africa, has evented her own horses at British Eventing Novice level.
For horse enthusiasts interested in discussing their requirements or seeking further information on specific horses available for sale, they can reach out to Sue, Joanne, or Laura. Their contact numbers are provided on the centre's social media page and club directories.
One of the fantastic all-rounders/future eventers currently available for sale is Leo, a smart ISH bay gelding by Lock Key. Standing at 16. 1hh and five years old, Leo is known for his polite ride and trainable brain. He showcases three correct paces and is capable of producing a quality dressage test.
Leo has also demonstrated great ability over fences and has been schooled at local BS venues, where he jumps coloured fences and fillers in a good rhythm. He has competed at 80-90 cm and has the potential to go much further.
Moreover, Leo has cross country schooled and excelled in tackling various challenges such as water, ditches, and steps with a positive forward attitude. He has also been introduced to hounds, behaving impeccably in a snaffle without being strong or silly. In hunting, Leo can go first or last, patiently waiting his turn and successfully jumping everything asked of him. With his outstandingly kind temperament and attitude towards life, Leo is a pleasure to look after and is a favourite at the yard.
In conclusion, New Farm Equestrian in Muckton offers extensive livery services, effective coaching, and a friendly atmosphere for horse owners and enthusiasts in the Lincolnshire Wolds. With their partnership with Meridian Equestrian Marketing Ltd, the centre also provides access to quality young horses suitable for eventing and various disciplines.
